Alysa is a strategic and creative advocacy professional with experience working across the charity sector and at the top levels of government. Alysa currently works in the political team at the High Commission of Canada in the UK. Prior to joining the High Commission, Alysa led the policy and campaigns team at a national food insecurity charity, Magic Breakfast, where she oversaw research projects, established a campaigning group of young people with lived experiences of food insecurity and convened a coalition of food industry businesses to campaign for change. Alysa also previously led the advocacy team at an HIV/AIDS NGO, STOPAIDS. Before joining the charity sector, Alysa worked for the Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy and the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office. Alysa studied Economics and International Relations at the University of St Andrews.
